With all this talk about valve covers, i thought i'd give you guys a fun idea. It's the Protege / BP-T valve cover. Many of you know The Blue Potato has the Ford version. But here is the acutal Mazda one.
To get it to fit, follow these steps.
Take all internal baffles out and clean throughly.
Using a mallet, hit the breather nipple back INTO the valve cover, it will fall out nicely.
Now find a large screw to put in that hole. The trick is to put it on from the inside out, this way you don't have a bolt head on the outside. Cut off excess threads and smooth down.
I forget what size drill bit you need, but drill a hole where you see the yellow X in this picture.
This way you still use the same internal baffle for the nipple but still be able to use it as you need to.
After that, you'll ned to fab a small 90* bracket to hold the coil-pack to the valve cover.
You can kinda see it in this picture on the pax side at the back of the valve cover.
And thats all. I did mine wrinkle black with polished lines and letters.
