I had MR coilovers on my 240sx. They were okay...nothing special, but for the money, I wasn't going to complain. My rates were 8/6 kg/mm.
The advertised rates for the Miata would be okay for a track car, and decent for the street. However, that would only be true if the valving were up to par with the spring rates.
I pair these (in terms of quality) with D2's coilovers.....not worth a dime unless you plan to drift and don't care about ride quality...but even then, you're still going to want good damping.
