is midtenn miata still open? Im lookin for flush mount headlight kit, i like the advanced concepts kit but i dont want to what months for one.

MIDtenn no longer sells their kits IIRC, and you had to prepay CASH or Certified Check in advance so that they could make one up from scratch.

I wanted one for a long time, it was not until i saw one up close at the Rspeed open house where i changed my mind.

I saw one up close.......... not clean at all, it looks like a shade tree mechanic built it.

The BSP Fixed version was much cleaner looking, but both had lighting issues as there is not enough slope on the front of the bumper to aim the lights on the road.

BSP version is also out of production since 2000? But there is one for sale on this forum. http://clubroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1268

There is also one available from Barchetta in Japan but its like $700 USD or more.

Since the new improved kit is out there don't lose you time with products that are discontinued...
The lighting system is very importan for your own safety...

i had them when i bought my car. after a rainy night driving through a windy canyon with practicaly zero light on the road in front of me made me rethink them. i traded a guy for his oem popups and love em' he doesnt mind the sucky output because theyre on his track car.

i used to have midtenn setup but changed back to stock to prep for active headlights soon. at one point i needed to find some replacement plexiglass covers and found out they no longer sold them and was told they sold all of their stock to rspeed. dunno if they have anything left but could prob find some spare parts if needed there for anyone that might need them. i never had issues with lighting or direction they pointed. you just had to adjust them like any headlight assembly to point at the road and not to the sky lol. always liked the bsp ones but they got discontinued before i got a chance to get some, glad i didnt now however because i fell in love with the active ones and will have them soon.
