I bought a set of chrome heater controls for my 1994. When I pulled the heater knob off. It has a air conditioner switch inside. There is no air fitted on the car and the original knob is without the A/C feature. I don't know the full history of the car. I have two questions are all '94 equipped this way? Secondly how do I remove the center push/pull section of the switch so I can fit my new knob?

I remember reading that all cars have the push button underneath even if they don't have A/C. So the new knob should go on just like your old one.

That's my problem. You can't fit the knob in because it was designed to be used without the a/c center. So I need to know if it is possible to remove the a/c control or do I need a new switch or new knob?
