Some of you guys may have seen my non-roadster build thread stating that I was going to convert my daily driver (2003 Lex GS300) into a toy by way of swapping in a JDM Aristo 2JZ-GTE, single turbo, 500whp, suspension, etc.

Scrap that.

I just put a deposit down to hold my next project and it is another roadster. And I won't be starting from scratch on this one. It's already a spectacular example and what's been done has been done right. I'll be taking it, babying it and putting my spin on it.

It will be phat.

That is all. (for now)

SHORTCUTS:

Got the car home from Tampa, FL to Dallas, TX

Got the '95M seats recovered in '93LE red and installed

Installed the Nakamae carpeted center console

XIDA installation woes

Got my M2 1028 steering wheel and Runabout Mirrors

Teaser pics of interior with M2/Revlimiter/Nakamae goodies and exterior with custom Eunos stripes and other misc. hotness

Great pics from a photo shoot with Justin (tsxser)

The last bit of "Miata" is gone from the car. All of the branding is now "Eunos Roadster".

Installed Bellof low-pro headlights and a unique "EUNOS" badge on the rear. - GOOD pics of the Bellof Lights here.

Awesome, cheap eBay aluminum radiator install. Took a chance and it paid off. This thing has been great.

Scored some legit wheels off Yahoo! Japan auctions.

Takes 1 and 2 on the SSR Watanabe RS-8's. All Bronze. Follow for a page or 2 to see all pics.

Final take on the SSR Wats. Bronze center, chrome lips. Also...Rooster goes to Albuquerque to hang out with Sharka and Flipper.

Rooster gets a feature

Road trip blogs and route coverage. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

The work begins on a built '99 head swap.

Adam has competition in the Ultimate Unboxing Photog category :D
I unpacked my fun JDM box last night.

You just took unpacking porn to a whole new level.

Congrats sir.
OMG! The packaging transformed!!!! I had to show this to my wife.

And now I have to up my game.
How do you like the mirrors as compared to OEM? Was looking to get a set. Thanks
So many neat parts, install them faster and more photos.

Please :claugh:

But we will always know!

Haven't actually driven with them yet. But sitting in the car and adjusting them I could tell already that these mirrors are more for form than function. The passenger side mirror is partially obstructed by the small divider between the triangle window and the main passenger side window. They are small and as far as I can tell have no convex shape so they don't give the best visibility.

Maybe my observations of this will change once I actually hit the street with them.

Honestly, though...I couldn't care less. They look killer on the car :)

Sorry about the slow pics. Have had some hiccups lately but I'm back in full swing. I got 3/4 XIDAs upgraded with the additional spacer bushings today. The last one will go on tomorrow night. The car will be back on the ground and ready for its alignment. I am planning on doing that Tuesday or Wednesday. The M2 1028 steering wheel will go in on the weekend and then...only then...will I take some pics.

I gotta tell you - this 105 degree temperature doesn't do much to encourage one to work on his car. My T-shirt weighed about 10lbs when I took it off this afternoon. It was all I could do to keep the sweat out of my eyes. Not fun. I think I would have the car back on the ground right now if I wasn't working in a sauna today.

Having run mirrors that size for a while, the visibility is indeed terrible. I couldn't make the sacrifice with my daily driver and went back to OEMs.

They did look awesome, though.

Same here. The M2 mirrors I've got have a slight convex on both sides. The driver's side is usable, but the passenger's side is almost worthless. If I could find a set of perfect black OEM mirrors, I think I'd put the M2 mirrors on the shelf.
Mount them on the fender :D

My "raydots" were convex as well. While you do gain a wider field of vision, the fact that the whole image is shrunken really rendered them unusable for me.

The closer I get to having kids of my own, the more beautiful I find those moments, Steve.

Congratulations to you and your now expanded family :)
Mazeltov! Haha Congrats on the new addition to your family!
