First thanks to all who have shared their skid plate designs! :mrgreen:
I ordered 20.5x15.5 pre-cut to size 3/16 plate so none went to waste

I only drive the car on nice days, so changing the oil I will simply drop the skid. I only change the oil once a year or so.

My plate is entirely below the subframe, it actually rests flush on it. Any impact should be spread out evenly and cause no dammage or weird forces on the mouting bolts / tabs.

All tabs tig welded on top to allow for a completely flat skid surface

I wrapped around this tab to tie into the big M12 bolts on the steering rack rather than the flimsy M10 ones for the plastic shield

bolt heads are gonna get scrapped off then there goes the plate... gonna be like bryans floor board in the eclipse on F&F
