I'm thrilled to have stumbled across your old thread. I own a '92 NA, and was told by a few that the Zeta III XL wouldn't fit. I'm excited to see you managed to make them fit. Would you mind sharing me what mounts you used? Also, how far forward did the roll bar push your seat vs. oem seating? I have avoided it like the plague with OEM seats because my entire head is over the backrest and smashing my head into a rollbar sounded terrible.
I'm 6'3" 220, so very similar to your build. Thanks for reading, loved seeing your build thread. Hopefully you kept the miata!

Sorry I am just seeing this as well as your main thread. I used pci mounts but they aren't adjustable. Had to beat in the trans tunnel slightly to work for me, but I'm also only 6'0" not quite your height. I also have a relatively small steering wheel (300 mm) which helps as far as fitting my knees. The roll bar I put in after the seat so I never really worried about it, but my head is well out of the way of hitting it as well at my height.
As far as regular updates on the car everyone, not really much to share besides my wheels finally shipped from Wheelflip, should be here by Friday! I probably won't get tires mounted until next week, but just excited in general to finally see them widened. I will post some more pics this weekend after they arrive, but here are a couple when they were wrapped up before shipping. I think I have already said the specs, but they are 13x9 -25 and 13x10 -38 roughly. Going to mount a 175/60/13 all around which should fill out the guards pretty well.
Wheel bearings should be fine, have been running 9.75j in the rear for years now. They won’t really poke that much with the flares in the rear. The FM I had on there were 9j 0 plus a 50mm spacer which is equivalent to 10j -38 roughly as far as fitment. I thought about doing 10.5j with a 185/60 but wasn’t thinking it would fit as easily without slightly raising everything in the rear which I didn’t want to do.
Alright just another quick update. Test fit the wheels tonight on the car and I could not be happier. Still need to get tires mounted, but wow does a deep wheel make a difference from what I was used to with the Formula Mesh for the last couple of years since I took the mk2 off. Going this week to get tires mounted, but not sure exactly when. Also switched the normal red and orange porters with clear lenses. Going to remove the rear side marker and paint that full black to try and "delete" it without actually filling it and smoothing over. Going to add a couple of new stickers while removing a few of them on the car as well. Here are some test fitting photos below:
Thanks guys, really really happy with how the car looks right now as far as fitment goes.
That being said, here are some photos of the wheels actually on the car. Lowered the front probably a good 15 to 20mm and it's pretty low now up front, although rear is about the same. Originally when test fitting the wheels on the car I was not happy at all with the fitment, but it took a couple of quick fixes, mainly adding a 6mm spacer in the rear and lowering the front down some. Now when turning the wheel though, the front tires hit the bumper on each side, so will have to trim it slightly to fix that. Plan on doing that tomorrow or Friday so I can possibly drive the car to cars and coffee, although not really sure why I go to it because for me there aren't many (if any) cool cars there to look at. Anyways enjoy a couple of pics of the car.
