after each of last two track events, alignment went off slightly...
went to alignment shop last week before track day and was told all components are fine and shouldn't cause alignment to go off...
was told if it happens again, then it's very likely my manual steering rack is bad and needs to be replaced...
last weekend, went to track event and by end of the day, alignment went off again...
i did not go off course at all...

question, is it really my manual steering rack going bad?
just wanted to make sure before i swap it out and find out i still have alignment issues... thx!

In which way is the alignment going out?

Your steering wheel alignment?

Or, is it like your camber or toe?

If its the steering wheel, I would check all your ball joints. If they are fine maybe you do need a new rack.

If its your toe or camber, I would get all your eccentrics replaced.

update:
went to alignment shop today and they discovered front passenger wheel bearing went bad...
highly recommended to change bushings at the same time since my car has 140K miles...
time to get new set of front wheel bearings and polyurethane bushings...
thx guys...

Should be developing a full no rubber control arm set over the next few months. Then no more issues! Heims ftw. Accentric bolts just dont hold over time and with sticky tires it lasts even less. Should see how much toe in I get with my power. Crazy
