I wont be doing any type of performance driving any time soon.
I want adjustable coilovers that will perform OK and will allow me to get about 3 to 3.5 inch lowering.
I want to be able to experiment with the height since our new place is a bit high up on a hill and the roads have a few baaad potholes in them.

I've been reading up lots but still need to ask a few silly questions...

Just for an example would something this cheap and beat up do????

ABOUT MINUS TWO ZEROS OF THE YEN PRICE GIVES YOU ROUGHLY THE DOLLAR AMOUNT...so these advertised for 5,000 円 starting bid are about $60 U.S roughly

In general I'm not sure what to go for on the Jap market used ...

My options are mainly in auctions.yahoo.co.jp and here is the search list for NA used
coilovers

Unfortunately they usually don't ship overseas ,if you have any questions feel free here or PM me...

The first set you linked appear to be rebranded KYB's as a Mazdaspeed part with Eibach springs. Look pretty trashed. Pass

Ohlins PCV's. High quality yet discontinued model. Alot of these kits will likely need an overhaul.

These PCV's look to be in decent shape.

I'd try for Ohlins out of anything on there. Perhaps a set of Cuscos or one of the Tein Flex.

your first link looks like the shock is missing the bushing at the bottom.

this ones look tits. http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u37690092
RS Aizawa. Probably a nice kit but ad mentions unknown age, spring rate, etc..

Thanks for the replies I just realised ...:)

Te Ohlins and that look good but like I said the purpose will be mostly to lower the car about 3inch 3.5 at the most and remain a daily driver...

I will go for about the $350 mark and hopefully install them myself ...

I would get these >>> if they can get me that low and not make my daily driving a nightmare

These are what is available in my price range and I read they are all decent

GABauction KONIauction MAZDASPEEDauction

TEINauction these are a bit pricier I guess after the bidding is done...

these Tein HA are only about $120 TEIN>HAauction

As long as any of these get me about 3.5 inch lower and are as good or better than RACELANDS they will be welcome under my Roadster (for now)
