I sprayed down my taillight/finish panel earlier today with a coat of primer & just came in from checking on it. I have a weird cracking pattern that's emerging from part of the tails and a corner on the finish panel. What is this from? The only thing I can think of is that I missed a spot when I sanded off the clear coat. Am I right? What's going on here? Help!

that happens due to reaction, so paint differences. must be sanded down and reprimed, but sand all of the original coating off first since you are priming anyway. the only time you slightly sand down is if you know the materials are similar and that you are only painting, not re-priming and such.

^that is correct. Usually happens when you mix two different types of paint & primer or don't wait long enough between coats.

Ahh crap, I was hoping there's be an easier fix... Thanks guys! Guess I'll be sanding it off again. I'll never be done with these tails...
