:) Hi Guys,
Just joined. My screen name is "Smurfy," as in "very good" by Papa Smurf.
I have owned a Smurf Blue (Mariner Blue) '90 and a Monster Miata (red). My daughter got my blue NA when she went off to college; my Monster went away because my wife absolutely HATED it (too rough and noisy).
Now I'm retired and ready for another project. My thought is another Smurf with a little extra zip ( but for the street). I would like suggestions. I'm thinking some suspension upgrades, some 15X7 wheels, real roll bar (that fits in hard and soft tops) and , if I have an attack of boredom, a 1.6 to 1.8 exchange.
I also would provide a loving home in Anacortes for an NA (blue or possibly BRG). Because of our drippy weather, I need a hard top. Let me know if you hear of one.
Best wishes,
Buzz

Thanks for your kind welcome(s). This seems like a friendly bunch.
There do seem to be a lot of Washingtonians represented. We are all pretty much cooped up all winter so we need some open air when the sun finally arrives (around June sometimes).
Chris- My daughter, sadly, traded the original Smurf when she graduated and needed a "real car" for her job. Some of us are truly blessed to have room for an impractical toy. I have gone thru 9 Lotuses plus the Miatae (plural of Miata, sp ?).
Best wishes,
Buzz (Smurfy)
