Noob that doesn't quite have a roadster yet from Middle TN - *** Now with '90 A Pkg ***

Hi roadster types, a friend linked me here since i've been looking to buy my first NB. I've been on the lookout for a Twilight Blue with Tan, '99 or '00 with a 5 speed.

In the meantime I've got a JDM sweet (tm) Subaru Legacy that I originally bought just for the G/F to learn to drive. So far the only bits that are actually from j-town are the Bilsteins from a GT-B. Otherwise it's got WRX brakes, GT wheels and 80hp of slushbox fury!

Other stuff about me. I'm 24, just moved to nashville, TN from Pittsburgh. I work for dell now, which is a heck of a lot better than living with my parents and delivering auto parts. I've been autocrossing since 2000, I helped publish a performance book for Dodge Neons, and I love anime!

Welcome to ClubRoadster.net!!

You obviously know that you don't need a lot of HP to have fun!

Good luck in finding your future Miata! There's a lot of good info shared here on the site!
Awesome! 80hp isn't a lot but you've got to start somewhere. I've always loved the BH. One day I will own a GT-B tricked out with all sorts of STi parts.
Welcome, man! Love your dyno graph. Just showed it to Jason so he could laugh at the eighty. EIGHTY! horsepower the Neopreza has. :p

There's a dark blue and tan for sale on the www.dfwmiata.com classified, seemed like a good price. I can't give you a link due to firewalls at work.

So this followed me home on Tuesday, should I keep it?

Ok, so clearly i need to post an update after 2 years!

Since posting this, i've proposed to Charlotte (reenacted in manga):

I bought a basket case B13 Sentra 1.6, rehabbed it for way to much money, and sucked my way through a season and a half of ill-handling miserty. Did some cool stuff with it though. Tail of the dragon, Trackday at nashville superspeedway, couple autocrosses, etc. I recently sold it to fund the roadster purchase.

Poor Subaru got hit by a guy without insurance, our insurance covered it and he's been ok:

Adopted Majo the kitten:

We bought a house!

And we got married!

Charlotte bought an '05 Civic:

And as of 8-12 I have my roadster ^_^

It's a '90 A Pkg, totally stock. 5-speed 197k Hardtop, new softtop w/ glass.
Some minor stuff wrong, driver's window regulator, alternator/battery, etc.

So far I have
Drove it home with almost no headlights due to a dead battery
Replaced the battery
Removed about 500lbs of junk from the glove box, console, trunk, etc.
Recovered $2.17
Drove it home with almost no headlights due to a dead battery
Bench tested the alternator - tested good
Reinstalled alternator
Fixed nonfunctional temp gauge, sensor at back of head was unplugged
Fixed broken wiring to 3rd brake light
Jump started it with the subaru a total of [strike:038212b6c0]4[/strike:038212b6c0] [strike:038212b6c0]5[/strike:038212b6c0] 6 times now
Drove it home with almost no headlights due to a dead battery
Loved every minute!

Hmmm. No sportmaxes? Stock ride height? Nothing to see here, move along!
I demand more pictures of the kitten (cat now I guess)

Just kidding! How about a video?
