This thread is the place for members to voice their preferred businesses for MIATA-based services and AUTOMOTIVE goods.

Want to recommend a shop for a particular service in your area? Let your fellow NORCAL members know!

If you have a business or offer a service in NORCAL, let us know!

Have you had bad service at a shop? Let them know that too.

Please keep this on the up and up, keep it professional.

List the business, address, contact info, maybe the website. Tell us if there is someone in particular to ask for. Tell us what you had done, why you chose them, if you are a repeat customer.

If you WERE NOT happy, be specific, be PROFESSIONAL.

***If your business is called out for bad service, YOU should PM that person and take the opportunity to resolve the problem ASAP.***

Driven Authority here in Sacramento did a really good job rolling my rear fenders the other day. Great people and really good price.

I can vouch for DA too. If Ryan Fong is still there (he had a silver '00 Civic coupe) he's a great guy to deal with.

I love Redzone Performance in Fremont (If Jeremy's still there he's a great ECU tuner.) They are Honda specialists, they put K-swaps in everything! But they can build you a ground up race car of nearly any make... just add dollars!

Also, Tech 3 Auto Repair & Performance in San Jose. This dyno facility is modest but the techs there are very professional. Their rates are great & they enjoy getting the most out of your car.

Took my miata to Rotorsport in Santa Clara a many times when I lived in NorCal. They were very honest (in many cases they identified a number of things that I did NOT have to do), and did good work. They work on RX-7s (hence the name Rotorsport), but also know their way around Miatas.

+1 to Paul at Rotorsport. He's a good guy and helped me out a ton with my NC.

Also, the guys (and gal) at PR Motorsports in Hayward are THE people to go to for miatas. They helped me find some "faults" that the PO gracefully left on my car, and installed new hardware at no extra charge.

Wifi at the place isn't bad either.

In Sacramento, Crazy Red is great. I've been going to him for almost 10 years now. He's done superchargers for me and replaced blown motors. If anyone needs his info PM me, or look here http://www.crazyred.com/pages/

His usual customer is the chrome gas cap crowd, but he did a lot of work on my old 240 and knows how to do things right.

i can second auto innovations in milpitas. Orlando is really nice and honest guy to work with.

Blacktrax performance is also a great place to go to. they worked on many magazine featured builds. they can do almost anything that you need an your car. they've done sr20 swaps, ls1, ls2, spec builds, etc etc. I'm going to them currently to work on my miata.

Mazda's Plus in Modesto installed my skidplate, frame rails, new mounts, made small spacer blocks/raised my motor, and installed and cut a hole in my car's firewall for my randall style CF intake a few months back. Good work, good prices, no complaints here.

Static Nine Garage in SSF is a good place for used OEM parts and service. It's mainly miata oriented and have plenty of parts in stock.
+1 on static nine. Just picked up and installed some frame rails they offer on my NB. Quality products, and tons of used oem parts at good prices.

Been to PR motorsports in hayward a few times for service. No complaints.
