Greetings!!! I'm new to RWD/miata world. At the age of 16yo i was all into Hondas. went through three 1992 civic hatchbacks. For the past 3years I've been riding sport bikes started with a 04 gsxr 600 to a 2009 gsxr 1000. ive always wanted to start a 13b miata project so i got a good job now so i decided why not. last week i went out and picked up a 1996 miata (black) with 120k for $2900. Again i make another mistake on buying a car at night :scream:

I put my friends black rx7 plates on and i drove it to a friends garage. i came by the next weekend to see it in the day. to find more little things than i expected.

The guy who sold me the car said the rear plastic had a small hole the size of a dime. So i remove the tape to find a cut about 3.5inches long. how do i replace just the rear plastic??

while inspecting the car i saw the bottom of the L. fender damaged. So i decided to take it off. Surprise Surprise!!! this guy went off road racing or something. once i pulled off the fender about 3lbs of dirt along with a collection of leaves dropped. smh

This guy told me the car has never been crashed but someone parking his car got toooo close to a pole so he had to repair the bumper. well my curiosity just wanted to take rip the bumper apart and find wants the truth behind it. AND HOLY SHI**. just made my progress longer.:evil:

After seeing that i packed everything up and gave up. ill come back to it when i have all my parts rounded up. Suspensions, NEW front bumper and L fender. I also tried removing that chrome roll bar but the screw behind the seat belt just kept spinning but no sign of them coming off. need help with that!! ill be replacing it with a hard dog roll bar. Last pic as i left it (notice my boy reaching over for a screw haha I just had to take a pic):dunno:

Damn, sorry to hear about that. At least you have a decent base to start with! Welcome to the forum. As far as the bolt holding in the stylebar goes I'm not too sure but you can try removing the plastic surround and see if you can hold the bolt from there.

And i mean a change besides another Honda. I literally really really lub anything and everything oldschool. Hence why i picked up my lil roadster. Patience brother.........patience.
