....im going to work, trying to check if my backpack is in my trunk so that i can go straight to school after ... the key wont open the damn trunk!! :evil: IM SO ANNOYED! ....ive got a 91, ...why didnt mazda make a trunk release lever?!?!!??!

i have a 94 and actually disengaged the trunk release in the center console for safety/security reasons. the trunk is really the only place i can lock things up in.

i'd consider getting new keys hole thingies and keys made, rather than installing a trunk relase.

i push down on the trunk lid as i unlock, it tends to help

or lift up i forget which. i think either one works

If you pick up a new or used lock cylinder, you can have a locksmith key it for your key and it shouldn't cost that much.

On my old LE, I had new lock cylinders for my doors done and it was only $20!

I did the same thing, the only way in is with a key.
