I have the LCD bacpac, a hero2 motorsports, sandisk extreme hd video 32gb 45mb/s sd card on the way.

Future things I want to do is custom make a filter holder so I can put a circular polarizer on, if anyone has done this post up pics and info

I just got a Hero motorsports package the other day, just making random videos for now until I get a good sd card, then I'll get creative with it.

I've had my Hero2 for about a month now. I also have a suction cup mount, roll bar, handle bar and all kinds of other mounts.

Long video with the annoying click. Broke my suction cup mount when i went to the dragon and had to use the stick on POS. Again with my old Hero1

IMHO, the gopro hero1 and hero2 shoot best video in 720p @ 60fps. It's honestly better than 1080p.

Running a 16GB SD card from my old cell phone...my New galaxy nexus doesn't have an SD card port lol

I have a rollbar mount (without a rollbar ) and the suction mount. I put my suction mount on the side of the car and pull the side view mirrors off while racing.

Got the camera with rollbar mount for $20 used from a friend, bought a suction mount for $30 and the SD card cost me $20 when I originally got it

I've been contemplating just getting or making a mount for my iPhone 4s. Video quality is suppose to be the same. Also much cheaper than buying a go pro just to record auto cross

The video "quality" may be the same but the wide angle 720p is way better than a cell phone camera's 720p. I had a cell phone with a 1080p camcorder and the 1080p on my gopro is wayyyy better.

Just save up and find one used

Anyone got an external mic for em? I plan on picking one up they are so cheap for the gopro! This $225 investment for the hero2 turned into me wanting to build the ultimate gopro rig External mic, CP filter, LCD bacpac

it was not an end all be all answer to recording video. Just in the meantime while I am saving for a go pro I saw this.

seems ok to suction to the car windshield and record and it can be nice if I am driving for directions.

Unfortunately i got it after I injured myself and really couldn't rip it on a mountain bike. But I did get a few decent cruising trail rides.

I use neutral density filters for in-car stuff, it helps slow the shutter down on the gopro to add a little motion blur to the picture.

The in-car camera was poorly mounted with a single suction cup, next time I am goint try using the 3D mount with dual suction cups for that camera.

The inside camera also has wind filter on it as well.

I've had mine for about a month and a half now but already I've had some good fun. I usually purchased budget cams for the purpose of beating them up on a suction mount, but I'm glad I finally got the real thing. It really does work so much better. I already had an 8gb card before I purchased it, but soon realized a 32gb would be better. Now I just worry about keeping batteries charged and I'm good to go.

For most of these shots I purchased a 9 foot telescoping paint roller pole meant for large walls and put the stud for the tripod attachment secured at the end. Gives me an extra 9 feet to get away from the car. I wouldn't recommend getting this close to anyone, even pros.
