How did you prep it before you painted it? Or what kind of paint did you use? I want to paint mine white to make it stand out but I don't know what steps to take.
I tried my best to sand the old black paint off. I didn't get very far and just gave up and started throwing down paint. Very surprised the paint as well as it has!

Haha, yeah.. I guess i've been lucky with the yellow tow hook being so small that people don't mention that reference.

I don't have a hoop bar so i may be able to get away with it, but hard to get colors to go with red without clashing. Probably just play it safe and keep it black. Kind of wanted to have the same " effect " as how the GT3 RS does with their color matched/off-setting cage colors that they have.

I get what you guys are saying but the bar still goes over my head when i sit in the car because I took a **** load of foam out of my seat and it's not actually much shorter than the the other hard dog bars so I'm fine. The thing that worried me about being tall is that I have to drive with the seat all the way back and after sitting in a few miatas with bars I wasn't a fan of how close the sides of the bars were. with the seat pushed back the bar is bar your ear so I was more scared about a side impact after sitting in a few and I liked how this bar is a little farter back. But like I said it still reaches over my head.

Whew, long thread. I have been very happy with my Boss Frog clearview single hoop bar in my car that is driven on the street and the track. I am 5'9" and the bar gives enough room around my head. I do have the SFI padding and cover and would certainly recommend that. I really don't think I would hit my heard on the bar in a rollover but certainly would rather hit a padded bar than the asphalt.
