This may be a bit off-topic, but:
If I get a BossFrog Clearview, what do I have to buy/install so I can still use my stock seatbelts?
And can I install door-braces from another company or do they have to be BossFrog too?

Thanks in advance,

Max

Boss Frog sends seatbelt adapters at the top where they retract with all new roll bars they sell. Otherwise, they're 30$ separate or you can probably use other seatbelt adapters.

However BF is closing their business, i would call fast and order now if you can

I know that BF is closing down, and I really like their "clearview" model.
But the "problem" is that I am in Germany, and shipping something that big/heavy across the Atlantic is probably quite costly.
That's why I'm hoping for a reply from a custom manufacturer here in Germany.

Wow...didn't know Boss Frog was shutting down!
Yeah, it's kinda sad to see a good "contributing" company go.

As for my previous posts here, those are worthless.
I messaged Boss Frog and GoMiata, and both don't have the bar I wanted in stock.

To all the people out here still using a soft top:
How do you close it, if the rollbar's in the way?
Can you still reach it, somehow? Do you have to get out?

You'll be fine with the soft top. Most roll bars that are on the market accommodate the soft and hard tops. Most soft tops once they're halfway closed, kinda just fall into place. When I had a soft top, i had to reach through the roll bar with one hand and lift the soft top into the other hand to close. Not really an issue. I was using a Boss Frog Clearview

I haven't been on this forum in forever.
Sorry about that.
I didn't go with a Boss Frog after all, the local custom shop made a creazy expensive offer, so I got a TR-Lane roll bar.
Getting that thing approved for road-use was an odyssey (TR-Lane roll bars don't come with German-language paperwork, surprising to no one).
I eventually got it approved, so now I'm using the TR-Lane Single Diagonal, covered in appropriate padding from Pleie Motorsport (since my head is literally right next to it).
Had to reroute some wires and create a new chassis ground, plus machine some spacers for the main bars (the roll bar is about 10mm too narrow).
The soft-top closes fine, but one seam leaves an imprint in the padding.
The bar doesn't obstruct the rearview mirror, and with the TÜV's permission I left a gap at the top of the padding to mount a GoPro (upside down).
