I bought a set of sportmax's in red off a friend but i despise the color and want to paint them in white for something different. How should I go about doing this?

If I use aircraft stripper on the rim will that effect the lip of the rim ?

Also, what grit for sanding?

they would look hot in white, especially on a red car.

ive never seen them in person, are they a true 2 piece wheel or just for looks?

that would make it alot easier to paint the center obviously.

honestly I dont know if I would go as far as to strip off all the old paint, but thats just me, Ive been known to cut corners.

should i primer after? also, after eat application of paint i was going to wet sand, recommended grit? same thing with clear?

Thanks!!

P.S. : Masking off the center from the lip is going to be difficult on this rim :?

You know, I was thinking about that, because I know you mentioned it before. The oven(s) that I powdercoat in are usually between 500 and 600 degrees fahrenheit. Hot, but not stupid hot. I don't know how much you'd really have to worry about it messing with the integrity of the wheel.

Just an offer :)
