got the controller installed but the lamps don't "sleep" the same

please help waited 4 months or more to get installed and doesn't work right.

That's was problem with mine too.

It's not the fault of the controller, it's a problem with your headlights.

Pop your lights up, and at the bottom of the manual adjuster, is the cast alloy housing for the retractor motor. Unscrew the round plastic inspection plate, and be careful not to lose the thin O-ring seal. Revealed will be the position sensor mechanism for the headlamps.

Clean out all the gunk and moisture inside, and make sure the copper contact surfaces are nice and clean and shiny. Then relube lightly with some contact lube and refit it all with a lick of silicone sealant around the O-ring.

That should "restore" the performance of the retractors, and get the heights more level. The lights will never *quite* be exactly the same height tho, since one side will travel faster than the other, but it should even it out a lot.

I did this to mine and it's worked a charm for years.
