No office, although I guess it could be. strictly MP3/XM/DVD/occasional web surfing. Believe me you dont want to have to type up anything on a 7" screen... It doesent even have a keyboard.

DLS :p
Marlon, are you into sound competitions?

I was thinking about getting a DLS set up, but it's way above my car audio budget.
You dont have to run DLS to sound good. Actually if you run a active setup there's alot more driver choices that sound better and are cheaper. LPG tweets are cheap and good, dayton midbass drivers are awesome to.
If you want I have my iridium 8.3 crossovers (4 total) i can sell to you since i went active. Pm me.

I had my share of competitions, but not with this car, click on my sig and you'll know what I mean

Just like any brand there are entry level separates/speakers that would suit your taste of sound (and pocket, I suppose)...like the classic series, i believe that this may well be within your budget :D

I agree, my set up in the miata is also full active, meaning all the speakers are directly connected to the amp powering them as oppose to a passive set up wherein a passive xover is used. an active set up gives you more control with respect to the xover frequencies, tonal accuracy, etc.

although if you don't want the hassle, your better off using a passive xover and let the device do what its suppose to do

well, i don't have any pics yet and i don't even have anything installed, but i'll be running a complete Infinity system in my car, from the 6.5" components in the doors, to the 10" sub and the corresponding amps.

also, i've got one piece that most don't have, i've got a Bueth sub box. i know its not the best box on the market, but i thought it looked great with the style of the car and with some minor interior modifications and the right sub, i'm sure it'll sound great.

once i have the stuff in the car, i'll have pics, but that won't be for a long while as i'm planning on tearing the car down completely and starting from scratch.

thanks
alex
