I thought the CR.net members might enjoy these....I apologize about the quality here - my sanner is on the fritz...but here some some of my favorite all time pics from my older R&S collection that inspired me with my tater. Will break up the scan in 3 posts.

So much hotness. Cars like these are my inspiration. I wonder where the T&T car is today? My favorite ZOOM Elan conversion is that buttercream yellow car. Rick's Japan wheels are the bomb. I wish I could find out more information about them. I plan to make a switch plate similar to the PCR demo car for my Roadster.

cal_gecko, that's got to be the lamest styling critiques I've ever read. It'd be one thing if you said the DAMD front end makes the front end look too heavy or if you thought only hot rodders and VW people put moon disc hub caps on their car. But you didn't. You gave us crap. If you don't like something please do us all a favor and move onto another thread that interests you more. Don't come in here just to piss on a particular style. Club Roadster will not tolerate that kind of close minded behavior.

If you don't understand then nothing we can say will make you "get it." It's simply a matter of personal preference. The Miata has been used for much more outlandish conversions. Stick around, soak it all in, learn to be accepting of other people's desires to go down a different path. You're a new member here so it's understandable why you still exhibit an attitude that is common at those "other" forums. Hopefully one day soon Tim will post a concise set of rules that will greet you every time you log in so there is no confusion but here is some guidance to help you in the meantime:

General Netiquette/Behavior

This forum was created not only to focus on Eunos/Mazda Roadster JDM tuning, but also as a "kinder, gentler" alternative to the snobbery, meanness, and intolerance often seen elsewhere. Those negative experiences made many of us feel disenfranchised and ostracized, wishing there were a better place for us to call our "home." Now that we're here, let's make the most of it and "play well with others."

Do
  • Treat fellow members with politeness, respect, and camaraderie.
  • Be helpful to others.
  • Be active. If you?ve got a new part, project, favorite road, or Roadster we want to hear about it. Or if you?ve got a question that isn?t answered in the archives, please ask. Take photos, host tech days, organize drives, recruit new members, spread the love.
  • Keep it positive. We know there will be many things on this site that will divide opinion and be unpopular with the masses. If you can?t say anything nice don?t say anything at all. If you feel that you absolutely must criticize, be constructive. Any criticisms should be worded such that it's clear you're commenting on the car, not its owner.
  • Be an ambassador for how great this place is whether that be at a car meet or chatting with folks at other automotive forums.
  • Celebrate diversity. It's okay to like something different.
  • Keep it clean. No porn. Some people use colorful language. If this bothers you please go to your User Control Panel / Preferences and set "Always allow censored words:" to NO.
  • Leave any bad vibes or grudges that began in other forums outside the door.
  • Have fun, tell jokes, laugh.
Don?t
  • Be rude or impatient toward newbies or any other forum member for that matter.
  • Use derogatory name-calling, personal attacks, threats, or other nastiness.
  • Post inflammatory, deprecating, crass, or controversial topics. Off-topic discussion is allowed in Pub Roadster but it isn't a free for all.
  • Hate. There?s no accounting for taste so don?t disrespect others due to differences of opinion on style or aesthetics. Also, don?t bash other automotive forums. There's a niche for everyone. You'll know when you've found yours. If this place isn't it don't ruin it for the rest of us.
  • Waste bandwidth. This site costs more money to run than what we bring in from donations and sponsorship. We keep it running because we love you and we love Roadster. Don't quote using
