I have a Protege and Escort GT valve cover for 1.8 motors that want a different VC, how much do you think I can get for each? As of right now they are a little dirt, but I plan on taking them to work tomorrow to clean them. I could even sand blast them if someone wanted.

yup, thats what I did. use a 1/4 NPT tap and pick up a 3/8" barb with 1/4 NPT threading. looks like this, and can be found at home depot / lowes: http://www.anver.com/document/vacuum components/vacuum hose/hose-barbs/a1438b!.htm

forget what drill bit size you need... but you can eyeball it. make sure to reuse the baffle that the current breather feeds from. would likely be easiest to remove the baffle covers when you clean them anyway. also, instead of plugging the old hole with a bolt, you can thread it with the tap, and find a 1/4" NPT set screw to plug it.

I paid $50 shipped for my protege VC... then had to go about drilling / tapping / etc. was a pain in the ass. I'd have paid $100 shipped if somebody had done it for me. its a bit of work for an extra $50, but would certainly be worth it if you have access to the tools.
