+ any in Southbay (Torrance, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo)? I'm surprised I haven't been able to find anything great local-ish. ProjectG is awesomeness but given their increasing focus on drift RC the Miata stuff has been moved to create some space so tougher to check things out.

Ultimately looking for a great shop with passionate/ knowlegable Miatae gurus. That can do great work, have a great range of parts and excessories.
My sense is the closest likely is San Diego? Or Long Beach? Does it even exist or (fingers crossed) has I simply been under my eyes this shield time?

Thanks Pete

I've heard some good things about indotech. Other than that you could try Salazar Miata.

They may be folded up, as their website no longer works.

Tri-point is the only other reputable player.

RSPEC in Van Nuys did my last installs - including gstar fender braces, boss frog harness bar, beatrush underpanel (they sourced the hardware for me), carbing FSB (required modifying the stock airbox to keep the randall intake), full exhaust (RB headers/gstar testpipe/custom cat-back), OEM front lip and a few other small things...

Extremely knowledgable and friendly staff. They specialize in old school Toyota's, planning on taking my 86 there soon to install a manual rack. VERY lowered/slammed car friendly.

I like this one http://racinglifestyle.com/ They are not brick n mortar but the owner(s) operate out of Alhambra and also one of the sponsors at extremespeed. One of the owner has owned numerous Miata's and can be seen at most socal track events and autox.

If you need stuff installed. Then corner speed tuning http://www.yelp.com/biz/corner-speed-tuning-huntington-beach-2 is the place to go. It is fairly new but the owner (John) has been in the race game for a long time. He was also one the main mechanics at Cobb Tuning Socal before he decided to venture off on his own. The guy is very honest and will add little details you/or anyone else wouldn't think of when doing his installs.

I know thread was started a while ago, but it looks like someone is looking, and I'll bet others matly be too.

I really like http://mazdaindependentspecialist.com

Alex is a great guy. He helped me sell my first Miata and loves my new one. Worked on both. He was a Mazda dealer mechanic for many years. He and his shop guys are super friendly and honest and the rates are fair. I always see 8 or so Miatas and a few RX7s in the small lot every tulime I'm there.

BTW, i found him through Salazar, who was down the street but is indeed closed.
