I really want to slam my miata in the next month, obviously my finances aren't ready to slam on anything high price.

I'm curious... from Miata drivers who HAVE driven with raceland coilovers... tell me about the ride and everything I need to know. I want to know the truth about them...

I ran Raceland on my Mk3 Jetta and honestly I had no real complaints...

Please don't add input if you don't have personal experience.

I've had mine on for about a month now. They go low. They felt like my stock suspension (maybe a little firmer) until I took the helper springs out. Now they're a little bouncier. With the helper spring in there I wasn't able to get as low as I wanted - I was a little disappointed there, but you get what you pay for.

If you're just looking to slam it then racelands are the most cost effective. If you want anything out of the car performance wise stay away from them.

Ive had mine for 2 years now when they first came out and were at 280 shipped. There ok for just driving around lowered and some mountain fun.

Here I did a search for you since I am a nice guy. I have racelands on mine just for lowering purposes. They have been holding up pretty well since I have installed them. Only 6k miles so far. I will probably purchase better coils once I want to get serious with my roadster.

THE truth. almost 40,000 daily driven miles on them

1. spring rates are wayyy to soft. without upgraded sway bars (yes you'd need the rear) it will literally feel like a jeep/truck/old cadillac.
2. the damping blows. r kelly said it best. bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce.
3. to get low low you have to remove the helper spring...oh wait you have to do that anyway so they don't rub your axles.
4. the bumpstops, which you will be on....a lot. do nothing to cushion the blow from bottoming out when compared to stops like fm's
5. the price.....when they were 250 shipped, yeah its a bargain, but the price has crept up.
6. you will bottom out a lot, mainly from the lower rates, slam needs higher rates for obvious reasons.
7. the collars are thin and can be stripped easily

i could go on but do i need to?
save up.

i run stance gr+ now. sold the rl's to a local because he was on blown suspension and cut springs lol
just posted in the slammed thread

if you plan on upgrading why throw money away with these choices?
its seriously some coin you could put towards a better setup for what you want to do.

No real complains here. I got them for like 4 months now and I don't hate them. They are soft but not as soft as stock (anything is better than stock). I don't bounce much, but yet again I'm not laying frame. Mines have the bump-stops cut and seems to me I never had hit them. I would love to have something stiffer for better performance, but to cruise around they are perfect. At first they made some noise, but I sprayed some liquid-wrench silicone grease on them and now they are quiet.

I honestly think the majority of people who hate on racelands are ones who don't run them. If you don't have the money they're a cheap alternative..

When I took out my helper springs I also replaced the bumpstops with some Fatcats. I don't think I ever really hit em and thats even with daily driving on california's shitty roads.

LOL! California's roads were probably the smoothest ones I've driven on and I drove across the country from Cali to MI.

From driving on Racelands for a month; don't bother, save up and get something better.
