Lol no, cuz...well...too good a deal to pass up. That should have been your motor but you had to go and buy an NC lol

Yea, I have a MS2 waiting to go on. The intial plans for this Spring was to go standalone, RX-8 injectors, BTB w/ 3" intake piping, header, axleback, BBK, and replace the oil on the blower and turn boost up to 12PSI. I collected all the required parts since last summer so everything is still a go, except now there is a new motor and I will be running more boost (150mm crank pulley in the mail). Oh, and I think Matt is painting my block pink...

So VVT + VICS is the way to go? Would be a nice turbo setup, but I don't know if those would make any difference being supercharged.

Thought I'd throw this out there:
Willing to trade hard tops

Mine:
Black: paint 4/10. It was painted by previous owner without seals removed and there are some spots on the seals that were painted and you can see the tape marks. A few imperfections, but overall, it's still got pretty decent paint
Defroster: with NA pigtail
G-Wing: ProjectG's roof spoiler
Tint: 20-23% done by Audio Heaven. In 9/10 condition. Bottom edge has a few bubbles.

Yours:
Black or +$50 so I can wrap it black. No defroster. Preferably dark (20-23%) tint (not required).

The defroster lines bug me lol

Who had a built motor for sale and what was the price? Are the RX8 injectors 540cc?

I'll trade you my soft top for your hard. No charge :whistle:

So the seat mount that I've put on the back burner for a long time are $80 per seat. Anyone interested?

I am willing simon, but will you give me $50 for the trade? Is yours tinted? I can't remember.

I got the 420cc yellow RX-8 injectors, which should be plently with good spray characteristics.

I got the engine from a Miataphile for a price I just couldn't turn it down.

Thoughts on BBK? Which kit should I get

11.75" Dynapro kit vs 11" Dynalite kit
+ better caliper
+ cheaper rotor replacement ~$100/year difference
+ better performance and thermal capacities
- heavier
- $300 more initial cost
+/- more expensive pads, but more pad material. Will probably even out

Any pros/cons I missed?

Depends on purpose. For you, I'd say Rcomps since you don't daily your car. For me, I'd say RS3, since I would daily them =D

My R1R's may or may not last the season. I am thinking of replacing with RS3's.

Anyone doing CSCS or Sigma Time Attacks this year?

I'm curious for anybody that has HID's on their Canadian NB on here, what did you do about the DRL's? From what I'm told since our DRL's run the normal lights at reduced power that will cause issues with the HID's. Anybody on here do anything to get around it? I don't really want to drive with HID's on all the time if I can avoid it.

Disable DRLs. I've been driving my non-Miata without DRLs for 10 years without issue. Cops never pulled me for it and I've driven by many (with a loud, 2 toned, modified car). I've also seen cops w/o DRLs. From what I understand from the HTA, DRLs are not required. Seems like DRLs are only required to sell a car in Canada from a safety point, but not having them does not violate the HTA. What some of my other friends so is wire the fogs to run the DRLs.
