I perfectly expect to see a power bill eclipsing the $300 mark this year. My bills in Jan, Feb, and March last year were anywhere between $220 and $290. Now with my son, I have to keep the heat up higher.
That's a bitch. Does your power company allow a sort of equalization of your bills across all months? I don't pay $250 / mo in the summer... instead, I pay $170ish and make up the difference in the winter.
I am anxious to see what my bills will be this year. I moved into my house in the beginning of last March so I don't really have a good idea what is normal yet.
Hopefully the insulating I did in the attic and putting new seals + draft stops around the entry doors will help. I still need to put up more curtains but there is no point putting in the brackets until I get those rooms painted.
