Greeting from the great white north. My 1990 Miata is my first sports car and we are really enjoying the car. It was purchased new in Vancouver and had three lady owners. It might have beeen a special order as it was sold with an automatic tranismission - one of only 704, power steering, and a hardtop. The car is 100% original and will be collector plated in January when it turns 25. Even with the auto trans it is fun to drive. I have been involved in cars for almost 40 years including Japanese, British, German, Pontiac and more. I wish I could keep more than 5 cars but there are external forces impacting that.

Yeah they are not popular at all - less than 1/2 of one percent sold had an automatic. I drove standard for 30 years and got tires of it especially in traffic. It is kind of cool to have a rare car.
