Anyone make homemade rectangle headlights for there miata???, Ive been wanting to do this for a while. Kinda like a 240sx style of popups

Someone on the MX5Nutz stand at JAE had them, sadly I think I've only got the one pic, I don't know who it was, and you can't even see them very well

i've been thinking about trying it with some piaa p4000's since they have high/lows.

there used to be a writeup here:

Nice. I've always liked my round-eye factory stuff, but I gotta say, that looks pretty slick.

I might have to convert to wide-screen here pretty soon. Wonder if NSX units would be a reasonable swap, they've got the low-profile light like that and the split lights like that.

Don't forget Saturn coupes of a first gen vintage also had square pop-ups.

I would really be interested in retro fitting somesquare cut headlights. I like the stockers, but the square look more aggressive imo

alright i can't take a proper picture because i only have my camera phone and it doesn't do so well with the light bulb lights. but here is 2 pics of my hid's and 1 old pic. of just 1 side. i'll see if i can get a better pic tomorrow morning. And i used the STOCK hardware to mount the headlights but i had to weld 2 things on.

oh i forgot to add i in the miata.net pictures, the linkage looks nothing like that anymore, i invested in some spherical ball bearings to make it more adjustable and easier on the motor.

i just looked at flebae and i found only bulbs, what are the names for the housings (the rectangle you have)?
