Hey guys. I was wonder if I should drain the coolant and engine oil before I remove an intake mani on a NA6. Anyone got a clue? I've been told that I should, and then some said I don't have to. Please let me know. Thanks, guys.
that's what I thought. There are two water jacket openings there. I was just afraid when you remove the intake mani, the coolant will spill from those openings and get into the valves. But I realized that the jackets are below the air passages. What's burp, Marty? I am stupid.
Once the intake manifold is back on, take your radiator cap off and start the car. Once the tstat opens and start pulling coolant, add more coolant to the radiator and keep squeezing the lower rad hose. Do this until there's no more air in the system.
