Removing Style Bar

PO installed a stylebar and I'm trying to get it pulled so that I can install a real rollbar. Pulled all the bolts 2 seatbelt 2 that go in the back, but it still won't budge. Hit it with a rubber mallet and everything. any ideas guys?

well, with my style bar it has 3 bolts per side.

the seat belt one, one that runs parallel with it through the bottom and one that 'intersects' through the back.
bottom one eh? do I have to jack up the car to access those?
I'm having a similar problem with my Racing Beat Type V stylebar (older style).

What style bar do you have?

WD40!
Well I looked up the instruction for the syle bar I have and it mentions using epoxy! to secure the style bar flange to the metal spacer block that goes into the rectangular space where the seat belt bolt goes into. It appears that the PO did just that. I see a red substance, that I can only assume is the epoxy because after removing the associated bolts, the damn thing will not budge!

How the hell so I emulsify the epoxy without damaging the paint?!
go to your local paint store and ask them, there should be something that can remove it.
soundslike a job for SAWZALL!!!!

:| sorry

I don't know what kind of style bar it is, but the PO didn't epoxy that peice in so i'm in better shape than you I guess. found the sneaky bolt that goes underneath and it's off the car! yeah!
Yeah, I have that sneaky bolt on mine too. I figured out how to get it out only after looking at the installation instructions and removing the seat belt retractor units, but that darn spacer is really stuck on there!
