Hello y'all!!

I've been a silent member of this forum for quite some time now, gathering knowledge, tips, and ideas, hoping I'd be able to buy a Miata as soon as I'd leave the States. My name is Stephen, a 21yo from Greece with a lot of passion for cooking and old cars. I always wanted to own an old car, and more specifically a BMW 2002, I wanted a car that would not only get me from point A to point B, but a car with character, something that would make me smile every time I sit behind it's wheel. Long story short, as soon as I finished with my internships in the US I came back to europe wanting to buy an '02, but I was unable to find something in a relativelly good condition, and with minor rust issues, so my second option was the Mk1 Mx5. I never really liked the Miata tbh, but after looking at it from up close and getting to drive one I somehow fell in love... and bought one :D The car was in a pretty rough shape, and in need for some love.

Your links appear to be going to the flickr page your photos are on, but not to the photo itself as a single .jpg link.

Let me try something...

EDIT:

Okay, that worked. Your links you have now are merely shortened versions of "https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/34021066354/" which isn't *actually* strictly an image. What I used was "https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4225/34021066354_a7f976c56e_b_d.jpg" which, as you can see, ends in .jpg and is usable by the forum software. The way I got that photo was by going to "download photo" on your Flickr page and right clicking the "Download Large Size of this photo" and clicking "copy link" and pasting that link in the image insert dialog on the forum. I have never used Flickr before so I'm not sure if there is a better way for that.

Also, welcome to Club Roadster.

It would seem you're not copying the IMG code correctly because I'm not having any problems. When you go to your photo page, click the Share Photo arrow icon, select BBCode, select the size of the image, then copy the complete code and paste it into your forum post. You can delete the last part of the code that puts the title underneath if you want. But leave the first pair of URL and IMG tags in place so that when people click on the image it properly redirects them to your photo page.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and for helping me short this out :D Small update, the cars interior was in a very bad condition, the tan leather was worn out and the seats... well, they where just horrible. I got myself a black carpet and a na6 dash and I began the with the interior, my seats are at the upholstery shop getting some fresh new black leather.

Since I'm working by the seaside for the summer season I don't really have much time to work on the Miata, I'm limited to like 5 hours a week :cry2: Luckily I still managed to pick up the seats from the upholstery shop and finish the interior (for now), I also gave her a good wash :D

Beautiful work. Im slowly trying to do my own retro interior. Man this stuff gets pricey fast :)
Anyways great job!
Tell me about it! I haven't even started with the rest of the car and the interior is not even half way done, and still my last 2 paychecks were gone in no time :blaugh: Getting to see the results surely pays off though!:D

I didn't have much time to update this thread, the car went through a complete respray to its original colour wich was Merlot, it got a new tan soft top, roll bar, Rota rkr's, and many many more bits and pieces in the engine bay and undeRside of the car.

I'm really not good at posting on this thread so I'll just leave some photos here for you guys to enjoy the progress that I've made so far. Interior is starting to take shape and as for the exterior its still need a lot more things, thinking about putting some roundels, a fastback, barchetta bumper with a trap lip, and a flush rear bumper. For now I really need to focus on the suspension and handling of the car.

Yes, it's 3mm thick total cost of the door cards including the faux leather with the foam and the adhesive spray was about 17 euros / 20 dollars
