What's up CR? Swimmingbird here coming out of south florida. I don't really post on this website much so I figured I would start with a build thread (more like a rebuild thread). I have here 1998 honda civic EX coupe. Bought it at 63,000 it now has 73,000 (had the car for over a year. I bought the car when it was literally pristine. Two accidents and some bad choices later it sits how it sits today. I recently took a interest in cleaning her up so I can get my hands on a roadster(miata of course).

Current specs:
D16y8 motor
Short Ram Intake
Apexi World Sport Exhaust
Tokico Illumina shocks
Function 7 control arms
Rear camber kits
Honda Del Sol seats
Rear leather seats
Extended Studs and Lug nuts all around.

yeah, that has always bothered me too. That is an EM1, next generation sedan/coupe are the EM2's. EKs are hatchies...

EM1 was the 6th gen Si. A 98 ex would be an EJ8. But I wholly agree with both of you, i hate when i see a "EK COUPE" on cragislist. Not only were EK's hatches only, they were never sold with that code over here.

Just because I have a honda does not mean I steal cars.

I don't see why people are calling these EK's, they're EM's.

I'm aware of my chassis code. I will still refer to this as a "EK coupe" Even though ek coupes don't exist. It's a honda thing i guess
