Yeah my girlfriends parents recently moved to Phoenix - bought a house and hired a GC to renovate most of it. The process that they went through was maddening, and the work was OK at best. Some of it is stuff that i wouldn’t attempt to do, like pipe and tile work, but their painting, drywall, etc work was absolutely sub-par compared to what I can do (and that’s far from professional).

I am trying to see if just AWD + factory all seasons on the crosstrek will be good enough for me this winter. I don't want to buy snows for it if I'll likely be trading it in on the Maverick whenever it finally gets delivered late winter or early spring.

It's in the 40's here today, which wouldn't be such a big deal if it weren't cloudy with light showers. Yesterday was gorgeous.
