So I see rust starting to build up on the driver side of the windshield. (I could see that brown color showing.) It's building up under that black seal that goes around the entire windshield. Is it safe to remove it? I'm afraid it's going to remove the windshield. lmk anyone please and thank you!

If it's just surface rust, then it's pretty easy to get rid of it.

I lifted the weather strip and there's a corrosion. I wasn't too sure to remove the whole weather strip (black strip around the windshield) because some of the weather strip goes over and under a lip. Looks like it's used to remove the windshield.

I finally removed the weatherstrip and all the black silicone. I was wondering where could I order the new weather strip to fill up the gap around the whole windshield? My old one was brittle and broke into pieces.. lmk thanks!

Call any windshield shop. The rubber trim is generic.
