Im bringing my 97 engine back from georgia, and it needs rebuilt. I plan on building it to get it ready for either ITBs or build it as a spare stock motor. Does anyone know of some good engine builders in san diego? Most shops and places ive seen seem pretty shady in california, so im looking for a reputable place i can take my stuff to and walk away confident that i will get quaility work with no BS.

i keep hearing about Hopsing on university, and a few people i've talked to about him have had nothing but good stuff to say. i've yet to use him though. also, JSP in vista is another one i hear about.

I had Millenium build mine too. Really good work for what they did. They aren't into headwork though. Don't know who they farm that out to. Rocky at Miatamotive in Pacific Beach (next to Goodwin Racing) has a shop that does all his builds. I will be taking my topend to them pretty soon. Sorry, but I can't recall their name now, but give Rocky's Miatamotive a call and he will help you.

Off topic, but I got to ride along with him for a session at spring mountain in his street NSX at the expo 2 years ago. Zomg I about **** myself.

I was talking to Rocky just a few days ago and he said something about $3800. What all this included I can't say. Maybe R&R of old motor and some aftermarket internals? It is for sure less money than I paid at Millenium. Anyway just pick up the phone and give him a call....1-619-284-4911
