Scradleys build (now with more v8-ness)
So i thought i would go ahead and make a thread on my build, I got my 92 miata on a trade for my old protege gt. When i got it it was bone stock, and dirty, but it began its life in florida and came up to canada in2002 and was garage stored every winter (Thank god) The car has a/c, power window, hardtop and automatic
Also theres receipts for a engine swap that was done 2000 miles before i got it
(oil plug was left loose after change at local quick lube) The replacement was told to have 130,000km on it. Anyways, after i got it i put on my old rotas, lowered it and a front lip. 2 weeks ago i purchase a 93 5 spd car with 200,000 kms on it for a parts car, which basically is where i am now, motor is out, refreshed with some gaskets and painted. I just finished prepping the engine bay for paint which is getting done this week, then my clutch will hopefullly be in and the motor can go back it. Some other plans include exhaust, roof and A-pillar is being painted a dark gunmetal and so is the lip to match the wheels. I plan on having this all together for the first weekend of oct for the final cscs (Canadian sport compact show) of the year, after that its going back in the garage for a brake upgrade, repaint, and turbo. -tranny, i also grabbed all the other 5 spd parts out of the car, and a diff that has a welded future
-pulling motor
-dirty engine bay
-typical resevoir leaking
-motor cleaned up and ready to go in
-engine bay taped off, ready for primer
