i've been thinking about doing this since before I bought my car.

i think it tidies it up a fair bit, but might look strange from certain angles. (see my flickr for the original)
does anybody have pictures of this done, with minimal other body mods? (searched and failed)

no, clear reflectors/painting mine white just won't do... plus i have some damage to repair on the rear bumper right near the reflector, so while i'm there...

tia for the input, i'm really on the fence about this one.

Do it, Ive painted mine and it makes a big difference. I'm not sure if it's worth actually shaving them, but if you don't mind the work why not .

The previous owner shaved them on my car. Didn't find any good side photos from before the flares, but if you look through my build thread here you might find some.

I'd shave the belt line while I was at it, but that's just me. Why stop at the reflectors?

These are the mods that pull the car together and are not meant to be spoken about. You never want someone to say "Hey, your shaved belt line and reflectors look great." You want someone to say"hey, your car looks clean and great."
So if it goes unnoticed when its all done.. job well done!

I'm not a fan of the front bumper cut out but other than that I really love this car.

I know a lot of people think the belt line is part of the cars character, but I have always held the opinion it just adds more clutter. That orange car looks awesome. I imagine a car with clean fenders and a nice paint job would look amazing. Really makes the car have a more modern feel.

I say it makes it look more classic. Modern cars don't have clean, smooth round-ish shape to them anymore.

I think shaved everything looks a little bland and I'm all about subtlety, definitely giving this a go now.

I like the NA door handles, it looks a bit off to me without them.
