'96 M's were blessed with both the best color ever put on an NA and the best looking stock wheels in those 5 spoke Enkei's. STO's had then too the following year.

Here's my SUPER MINT '96 M-Ed w/ 147K that I swear one wouldn't think was more'n 1-2 years old and w/ a LOT less miles... the POs must have taken amazing care of it... the initerior literally looked like it had jes rolled off the lot...

It was the favorite of the 10+ models I was fortunate to acquire and enjoy before passing on to other Miata aficionados...

Unfortunately it came to an ignominious end... to wit:

The 'Miata Over Easy'... at http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/12848653

Attached is a preview...

Sad... Really sad... :(
.

Might be one of my fav color, looks black at night.
.

+1 on fav color...

Has the 'deepest' looking finish of any color I've ever seen... w/ slight changes depending on lighting and angle of viewing...

OCTJMO... ICBW...

Just got mine a few days ago. Now deciding on which coilovers to get.

Never understood why folks think these cars need anything done to the suspension UNLESS they're competing in a class that allows mods and can't make up the difference of ones competitors with their superior driving depending of course on the type of competition one is indulging in...

All my Miata track'rs have been box stock except when I went thru a spell of trying out DIY mods based on how we did it 'back in the day'. i.e. cut down springs... went back to stock...

Even so, at a typical HPDE event I get a couple entrants coming by wanting to know what I've done to the 100K wo out, 3-4 times shunted, box stock '96... Engine? Suspension? Nutt'n I tell 'um... Most jes wander off mutt'r'n... some have to get down on the ground and look all up under it cuz they don't believe me... ';)

OCTJMO... ICBW...

FWIW, if one insists on changing stuff, it's highly recommended to keep all the original parts and don't do anything that can't be put back in it's 'unmolested' form when ya go ta pass it on as most true Miata affectionado wants 'um that way... leastwise in my experience...

I've had her now for 2 years. Prestine only 56k miles so far. I've replaced the steering wheel to NB Nardis and head unit to a Pioneer with back up camera (not that I need it) and because I had to have Carplay integration. Other than updated wheels it's all original.
