project killdozer: 1964 panel wagon on 1971 4x4 frame

hi guys. figure i toss this at the wall and see what sticks.

along with my go-kart, ive got killdozer.

killdozer has no heart. his heart is in my garage... his heart is a RB big block 413.

ive been tearing down the motor for some time now. an hour here and there. ive gotten down to taking off the cylinder heads. i was asking a buddy of mine techniques for taking of stuck heads. but thats not the point. the point is he suggested i get some sweet new heads for my lead weight motor.

thing is i dont know enough about carbs and heads to really make an educated decision. this motor is for a towing rig, not a drag racer... so there is that.

anyone have any input for me?:?

no love for old rusty trucks or big freaking engines?

...oh well. im going to keep going

tearing down the motor... because it had sand in the water jackets. waiting on a valve spring compressor so i can get the heads cleaned and surfaced.

because well... it should not look like this

maybe.. its a 413 RB engine. which i think was designed in the early sixties. my specific example is from 1971, and it came out of an RV. the commercial engines were long since discontinued and the RB only saw duty in industrial applications. everything is cast iron. and the water pump is half the size of my mx5 motor.

Just throw a 350 in it? That motor looks to have been ass raped by Magic Johnson pre-treatment.

Badass truck though, reminds me of the one in Jeepers Creepers.
