i think the roll bar compatibility is not with a soft top or hard top but plastic or glass windows. the m1 is not compatible with glass rear windows

it will fit cars 90-97

It's not just glass windows, they make different bars which are not compatible with a hard top.

From what I understand. The non-hard-top bars just sit really close to the hardtop ceiling?
I thought they were mounted where you couldn't access the side latches. The only difference they state on their hardtop version of the hard core is it's "farther to the rear than the standard Hard Core allowing better head clearance."
