Just wondering if their are any big advantages of a hard top over a soft top... should i go ahead and buy a car with a hard top already on it, or buy a car without one and then search for one? Im pretty sure that hard tops have a big advantage on the theft/protection side of things. should i just invest in a billy club?
the main advantage of buying a miata with hardtop is that u can easily sell one for 600-800 dollars. . .otherwise i find it more of a pain a usefullness unless u have a place to store it for good weather. OR if ur one of those people who doesnt like convertables its a must. since the softop is generally annoying and/or cracked.
the hard top has a bigger rear window, greatly reducing your blind spots, which, in my opinion, is worth it undoubtedly. also its quieter, and lighter (base model hard top [no headliner/rear defrost] is like 48lbs whereas soft top is 51lbs iirc).
well most people run both soft AND hardtop (which is what he is describing. . unless he never wants to go convertable. atwhich point i would recomend removing the soft top and only using hard.
