Ok, i cant remember where I saw the link. I could have been on a Sponsor's website or another link I got from the classifieds at specmiata.com. Anyway, I thought this was a great idea - all the parts for something like $4500 to turn your car into SM. Seats, exhaust, rollcage, all the safety stuff. Even the numbers.

Anyway, this got me thinking... why not offer a New Miata In-a-Box? A new Miata owner could then just buy this package that would include all hoses, filters, belts and fluids and all the other stuff you should do when buying a used car (especially one 10-15 years old). And maybe include an additional checklist of things to look at (i.e. brake pads) that don't necessarily need changing.

I thought that would be neat, because it also takes a lot of guesswork out of it for noobie-weekend mechanics like myself! :)

I'd buy one, even though I've had my Miata for a few months now.

Because the price would scare off most people. Its easier to justify $60 here, $14 there, even if you pay more in the end.
