Hey guys. Does anyone know if there's a spray can out there that's close to the shade of red of a 92 classic red? Or if anyone know the paint code, that's would be great!

Another question. Anyone in So Cal can let me borrow their red trunk and finish panel for a day or two? I'll let you have my ghetto hoodride trunk and black finish panel for the mean time, and you can pick anything you like from my parts bin. I have an HKS grounding kit, Cusco radiator cap, misc. aluminum catch can from Japan, a few brand new gaskets, rear mud guards... You can have any one or two of these things if you So Cal guys can let me borrow your good condition red trunk and finish panel for a day or two. I need it for a photo shoot of my car. Thanks, guys. Paint code for Classic Red is SU. I haven't found any off the shelf paint at any local auto parts store that is a close match. The off the shelf spray paint cans the book tells you to use as a substitute for Mazda Classic Red doesn't match well on new or old paint. Matching red paint is a challenge no matter how well you try, especially so if the paint is original and faded due to exposure to the elements. Even when you order a SU mixed in a can from one of the popular suppliers like Tower isn't going to be perfect because of that reason. If you want it perfect you must go to an automotive paint specialist and have them get a 3 or 5 point sample of your existing paint and have something custom mixed.

I've used Duplicolor NG GM 398 Bright Red. It's a pretty close match, but not perfect.

Thanks for all the reply guys. The photo shoot isn't for another two weeks probably. I'll let you guy know. I have a red trunk, but I have to find out what kind of condition it is in. But I'll still need the finish panel from one of you guys. . I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks so much again.
