Stealth97's Custom Console #2

Well, Version #2 of my console is finally done \:D/

Version one, here http://www.clubroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=953 turned out great, but I happened to stuble upon some unwanted ford leather seats to sacrifice, and I wanted to do the job with out expensive adhesives, reduce the risk of paint blemishes, and get even more of a retro and upscale look. Anyhow, here's the final product:

Since people went nuts for the last one I put on the classifieds, I'd be happy to make these on a custom order basis, if anyones intrested... I would not make much due to the labor time involved, just something I would not mind doing for other roadster owners...

I'll be happy to answer questions for anyone wanting to do this themselves, which is something I'd strongly reccomend as it can be a rewarding DIY project.

wow, that looks great!
If my Miata was my daily driver I'd be all over something like that.
Wow, that looks sweet.
very nice, so whats the charge for a custom console? :)

I havent had the time to attempt to hack mine up, but you're becoming a pro at this so maybe I'll let you do the heavy lifting. ;)
Thanks for the complements, guys.

It all depends on what you'd like, (just the ring is one thing, the leather and vnyl work is another, etc..)what finish you'd want, etc... whether or not you would send me a console to work with, or if you'd like me to use one of mine.

Depending on what you'd want, I could do it for $100-$200 with an exchange console. I would not see it being much more unless you need something very extravagent. This console would be in the upper end of that, as Ive got over $100 and about two weeks to put into it, so its not exactly lucrative, just something I'd be willing to do. :)

If you'd want one send me a PM. and we can discuss what you want. I may also make these now and again in my spare time to put them on the classifieds, but I could not see making more than one a month unless someone wanted something specific.
damn. hella nice. but what's that in the 5th picture? and what are the two switches and that button next to your i-drive looking thing?

i really do like the glossy look!
Fifth picture is the console lid open, showing the carpet and the 12v outlet I put in for charging my cell phone.

The toggle switch on the left switches the inverter for the computer on and off, the push button boots it up, and the toggle on the left is fog lights.

notice there is plenty of room for more switches. theres more to come hhahahhaa
For hydraulics? It'd go well with your avatar.

Oh and how hard was it to relocate your 12v to the cubby?

hahaha, I might bag my next otm, but no hydros in the miata. I just tapped into the constant 12v from the radio harness for the outlet, and drilled a hole for the socket. That was the easiest part of the whole deal.
