I've been thinking about something to set my car apart in people's minds and one thing that came to mind was stripes... RED stripes, on my black car. not just any red stripes, but stripes that match the dark red of the 93 LE interior...

I made a quick and dirty chop of what it might look like.

If I were going to do it, I'd do an offset single stripe, or maybe an offset composite stripe.

How about a side stripe? Have not seen any on a roadster in the states, not in the north east at least....

I don't really like the side stripe. It might work in some situations but i don't know.

I have considered stripes on the side kind of like an adidas shoe.

Edit: I reconsidered that side stripe... I'd like it if it went all the way around that car with those flares. Like a euro VW look. That would be cool. Not for my car though.

That side stripe is GREAT! That's going in my collection.

As for the red, I think it would look ok. I'm thinking 2 wide red stripes spaced very close. 1-2" apart. And a pinstripe on either side flanking the main stripes. I'm sure I can find an example of this in my stripe folder if you'd like.

i've been thinking bout striping my car too. its a red miata. and i'm thinking more of a pin stripe on the sides for a lil 80s look. maybe a dual black pin stripe...any color suggestions?
