Does anybody know if stiffer exhaust hangers are available? I have a magnaflow for my NA as well as a FM butterfly brace and the exhaust rattles off of it pretty bad. The hangers on the car now are originals and the car has 127,000 KMS on it and they look kinda tired. Any suggestions?

Powerflex polyurethane ones from Goodwin Racing for $7.95 a piece or use a heavy-duty zip tie on your existing hanger. Wrap the zip tie around the hanger like a belt between the two holes and tighten to cinch the waist. It should help shorten the hanger length and it also adds stiffness.

I have the magnaflow hangers with metal inside them, supposed to be stiff.

Thanks guys, i'll check with the muffler shop that installed the exhaust and see if they have the magnaflow ones. If they don't then zip ties it is.

I have the UK made PolyUrethane hangers, they are SUPER Stiff :twisted: My stock ones made my new dual exhuast hang lower on one side, so i bought these mounts and problem solved!!

Anyhow, i got mine from Ravenwing, as they had the best price on them. You can see a small pic of them on my garage page under "Exterior" (the last line item)

go to Ravenwings site, i believe they are a universal fit, i dont recall seeing a size listed, sorry.

I ordered Protege hangers and they were perfect for my muffler. Very thick, my muffler can only move no more than 3mm side to side when I push it. Comes with 4 hangers in the kit.

Powerflex are headquartered in the UK and have many distributors. You can probably find them cheaper locally than trying to source from the USA.

According to Powerflex the mount you want is p/n EXH005 which is 70mm high x 50mm wide and lists for £4.95 +VAT.

Well i finally got around to fixing the sloppy exhaust on my car. I went with Foo's suggestion of the hose clamps and it works perfect. $1.85 for the clamps and 5 minutes of my time and there is no more rattles or clunks even on the biggest bumps. =D>

I have the powerflex exhaust hanger bushings for my turbo duals and now the exhaust barley moves.They definately seem to work.

I got the powerflow ones, moves less but still not completely rigid and hence still a bit of knocking with the duals.
