Yeah, but its still front wheel drive....and my top goes up and down as fast as I can move my arm, plus I can stick it down on the move.

A del Sol with a H22 swap is one of the cars I'd like to own one day, though.

but FWD aside, how come you dont see more modded Del Sol's? I would think that they would be lighter than most other hondas, and ideal for a motor swap.

Do people tend to label them as "gay" hairdresser's cars?

I think so..then again, those same people think the same about our cars. I rock a del slo, with a k20a rear engine set up lol

Yeah :lol: They have about as bad a stigma associated with them as the miata does :p

I smell a second gen CRX. way better looking then the del sol and I would think lighter IMO. I miss mine.

Because the previous generation Civics are much better ones.

They got a bad reputation for being very wobbly - muffin man said it.

It didn't help that the first batch sent to the US had way too many caterpillar green models.

In reality, the Transtop was a gimmick. It would go wrong all the time, leaked, took an age to get down, and (more importantly) put back up. It was a distraction from what was not a very good car.
