So when I picked up my car one of the things I noticed was this random switch that didnt blend well: (on the left)

From what I researched this is a spot for electric mirrors, this certainly isnt the case. When I flick it back and forth I dont notice any change, fans dont kick on or anything; I really dont care to pull my dash apart to figure this out, so maybe somebody would know what this might be?

Thanks for any help :littlepony:

My car has an aftermarket switch in that panel for an alarm, arm/disarm I guess. That definitely isn't OEM and if a Miata is equipped with power mirrors the switch is to the right of the steering wheel close to the ignition.

Yeah, I have no idea what it might be. Ive sat there and checked anything I can think of including headlights. The seats were stock seats, and I dont see any mounting for fogs.

However, the person who owned this car pre-PO knew what they were doing with a Miata, so I was hoping for some ideas of what other Miata people would do. If it comes down to it, Im not far from tearing my dash out, had to tear out rugs an pretty much everything else, so if it comes down to it Ill let ya guys know. Too bad its not a flux capacitor switch; I did hit it at 88, but Im still here. :(

pop it out of the dash and see where the wires lead

just because there are no fogs mounted doesn't mean the wiring isn't still there

thats the position of the OEM Cruise Control switch on my 1990 miata. The 1990 miata never came with power window until the 1.8l. The switch for the mirror is on the right side of the steering column and is where the 1990 miata have there driver side interior light.

that switch you have there is not oem and it could have been wired up for numerous thing. only you can figure out what it is for =\
