Same is happening for me. I got an oil change not too long ago but the tapping is came back.

I have not. Its on my winter to-do list. Its loud when I first fire it up in the morning, but then after about 5 seconds or so it quiets down considerably after a few revs. I have about 2k miles till I would need to do my next oil change, but I guess i can go ahead and do it early. Can't hurt. Thanks for the input Bronto.
